How hard is the install for this system? Is it something the average person could do on their own?

it's a good idea.. but only works on MY08+ and require dealer coding..

But still far less than the $1900 the dealer charges for Bluetooth.

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know the difference (in this case) between the MY08 and MY06/07 E90's? If this is running off of the MOST bus, what's preventing this solution from working on a MY06/07?

That is a typo, the kits are compatible with all e9x models equipped with CiC iDrive (iDrive III) produced from 2006-2008 at this time.

Wow. This looks really cool! Does this work for cars that already have the Ipod adapter retrofit installed in it? And what would need to be coded at the dealership?

This will work with the BMW iPod kit, we can perform installation and coding here in house for you since you're local.

Does this work on the e84 (x1) 2011 with idrive? It does have a combox fitted.
