Don't forget the real source of the fuel: electricity. If you can create electricity without burning coal and natural gas, and from geothermal, wind, solar, and hydroelectric, then you are free to pass go and collect $100.

so they make 160 liters per day? that's just over 40 gallons a day? so enough to power several cars lol

So what they are doing is basically utilizing CO2 which they are converting to CO (Carbon Monoxide) and providing hydrogen from breaking water through hydrolysis. This process involves the use of a fischer-tropsch catalyst which utilizes a syngas supply (CO+H2) to form diesel or jet fuel.

The overall end process (Fischer-Tropsch) has been around since WWII.

I can go more in depth if anybody is interested.
