40 offset with 9.5 rare 8.5 Front ???

Front 18X8.5 Rear 18X9.5 OFFSET 40

I don't know how to read the thing above. Do you think these will work?

They will work, but they will stick in the fender way too far. This car takes a 30-35mm offset.
