replace ********* with "boost . com"

I would say mostly the article is someones opinion of the future. They just released new m3 and m4 cars that are great sports cars. I'm partial to vettes myself, having owned 3 in the past. I'll probably get a stingray or a z06 in a couple years. M3/4 seems overpriced.

I think the new m3 is poor excuse for an M badge! Just using the 3.0 engine from a 335i albeit slightly different but still, the M for me should be a completely different engine not just an engine pulled from another model!

Only thing I like about bmw is the powerful diesel engines buy other than that there is better cars out there!

My opinion anyway

The m3 is not and never has been a sports car in the way that term is being used in that article. The only BMW I can think of that actually fits into the category would be the M1.

hooper lets not forget the ORIGINAL M3 car was the E30 which BTW i plan to buy in the next few weeks . Also, let me remind you the E30 M3 was transformed from race car to regular, unlike today's car are NOT race proven. Here she is 1991 red E30:

The F80 is one of the best performing BMW's ever. With a tune and downpipe it's making 500hp/550tq at the wheels, it destroys the 0-60, 1/4 mile and Nurburgring track times of the previous "greats" and that much in stock form.
It's luxurious and well-built, can fit five (m3), can achieve 30mpg hwy (6mt), and has an actual residual in the 65-68% range... Meaning at the end of your 57% residual lease you can sell it outright and pocket $5000-7500. But yeah, what a piece.

P.S. Anyone watch the T.C. Kline M4 track videos? He owned the track with a tune, Hoosiers and coilovers. I'm clearly confused by the complaints and conclusions I read about BMW. Want to complain? How about how ugly the 2 series and X4 is?

I don't like it how they used the 3.0 Engine from the 35i range. Seams to people could buy a 135i for less and have the same engine. I just feel its half hearted. I like the looks of the F80 but not ovally impressed with the engine choice! That said the statistics look good but only time will tell how 'great' they are

I thought the internals are very different with the M. Yes it's the same block but that's pretty much it.
