So guys need some advice...I went into Halfrauds to collect the oil but got told sorry it was a glitch and that they can't sell them at the price. I then proceeded to show them the email I received when I reserved the deal online and collection in store...and he tried selling me the 5w40 NON LL04 approved.

He said the image and the description were mismatched so I showed him the email stating 5w30 and the order collection number but he kept pushing back. I said so what have you done to all those people who reserved and came to collect and he said they were turned down - which I found complete BULLSHIT.......

Where does this leave me? I have until Tuesday to collect my order so thinking I'll go back tomorrow or something and speak to someone else?!

Can anyone advise what right / position I am in to claim the oil at that price?

Do some web research. This has happened many times in the past and I can't remember what the deal is but I think legal precedence has been set.

Ordinarily a retailer does not have to sell you goods at the advertised price if it's an error. The issue here is when does he actually sell the goods, when you pay or when he hands them over?

As you've only reserved and not actually paid then I'm pretty sure they don't have to honour it. Think it's down to their discretion. If you'd actually paid then think they do have to honour it as you've actually handed the money over.

Sorry. I assumed you'd paid. If you haven't paid for the goods you have no chance. Look up "invitation to treat". The only way is if the retailer feels like being nice to you and that seems to be a non-starter from your description.
