Crack 313style alloys

Hi guys,
When changing my tyres i discovered a tiny crack on the inside of one of my rear 19" 313 style original BMW alloys. My e93 is a 2010 June car so its no longer under BMW's warranty, but will they still repair or replace my alloy wheel by any chance? Has anyone on here had a success story relating to this?

I heard BMW was replacing 313's in the UK, but not North America. Good luck, my BMW mechanic told me not to run 313's, even if they were a gift.

So the 313 alloys are no good? Was planning to buy them on non run-flat tires. They have the cracking issue?

50/50 with loads of other alloys out there to be honest. some have ones that crack. some dont.

some say dont have reps at all but i known a few guys to run reps and have no problems for 2 years when theyve taken tyre off...where as other guy will have his crack after 6 months so just all depends.

however - i would never buy Genuine MV4.

When using runflats and our roads there is an increased possibility of cracking a rim due to the extra force transmitted to the rim. Even with non-rft's if you hit a big pothole hard enough it will crack or buckle a rim.

No hard or fast rule but some style rims are more prone to it than others. My 313's appear to be good so far.

I've been running my 313s for 3 years now, on non runflats. No problems what so ever

I had 313's for 3 years on my E92 330d LCI - absolutely no issues and went over some horrendous pot holes during my 20K miles with the car !

I think they are far stronger than the 225's that had all the issues - a colleague at work had 4 in 18 months whilst I had no issues with the 313's.

Any large diameter alloy wheel with low profile tyres can crack. It's one of the downsides.

You'll see a lot worse damage than just a crack on other wheels if you Google. All brands suffer failures.
