Owned an amazing 1983 533i for several years. While old that car still handled and drove superb. After a week of business travel driving GM's rental of the week, getting back in the ol e28 reminded me what real automotive engineering is all about. I later sold it with over 312,000 miles on it and it still ran flawlessly.

I almost purchased a 85 M535i for a lousy $3k and now I'm kicking myself in the ass for not doing it 5 years ago. This same car just sold for $7k up in Ft. Lauderdale area. E28's are tanks, owned one for 16 years lol.

Considering even in a DD car. You shift from 2-3-4 more than anything. So i wonder why thats not something that carried over to newer bmw manuals. |

I guess I'm getting old, a while back dog legs were the rage, same way as flappy paddles are now (or at least were a few years back)

Why? Because most people would forget and reverse straight into the car behind them.
