Procede C reader tool

Quick question for shiv or dustin.

Are you guys selling the C reader tool separate by itself these days?

I got a damm stubborn brake pad sensor issue, and my brake light is on, i am wondering if the C reader will allow me to reset the light. Does anyone know?

The brakes are fine, and its a confirmed issue with the sensors reading a false reading, and I just dont feel like removing my procede at this time to take it to the dealer.

Please let me know.

I doubt the C reader will reset the sensor, it can just clear the code I guess. There are several threads here on how to reset it, I've done it couple times too.

Not to step on anyone's toes, but if they don't offer it, I have bought the older version on ebay for $30 shipped, and they have the newer version for $40 shipped...

Bimmerlex, I tried several times to reset myself and it would not work.

I just want to remove the damm annoying brake light. But I guess if I reset it, it will come right back. So you guys think the code reader wont reset the brake light indicator????

Boosted thanks for the links. Ill go ahead and order from them, Im sure vishnu has their hands full right now with v2 shipments and maps.

Thanks.

I've got the same issue, but it will keep coming back even you are able to clear it. From what I understand, it requires a brake rebuild...

They do sell it separately - I bought one a couple months back for $65 plus shipping. It is a reader, not a reset tool, so won't actually help you though!

You dont have to worry about bringing the car to the dealer with the PROcede on for the brake pad sensor reset. They dont even look under the hood really.

I had mine in both instances it happened and they didnt even question me.

Hyper I would rather not risk it with my luck.

Well I guess I will live with the little light for a while.

Then just put on the plugs and take the box out. That way its the stock boost settings if they decide to take it out for a drive.

If I do end up taking it in, just to eliminate any possibility of it been found, I will remove it completely. My luck they will check the ecu for some reason or another.
