Procede with v2.0.1 map caused Limp home
What would cause a newly installed v2 with v2.0.1 map to go into limp mode for 3 to 5 minutes then limp mode self clears without turning off the car?
Limp mode turned during the following sequence: -Made left turn (while in first gear) then stomped on gas, -shift to second, -THEN while shifting near redline (v2.x likes to rev!) from 2nd to 3rd the car went into limp mode. Never had limp mode with v1.47. Except for Procede, stock car. 6MT Default v2.0.1 torque map C Reader shows no codes Post April 2007 build Vehicle skid/traction nannies were all on. Shell 93 octane in car. Quarter tank of gas. I'm the only driver...Shell or BP 93 octane only ambient 78 degree F. engine oil 240 F Probably about 30 minutes total time of ecu "learning" since v2 install and reconnection of negative battery terminal. Install of v2 was successfully tested as per install procedures; including - battery disconnected 2 hrs to allow ecu to reset - Installed new harness then test drive using bypass plugs (no codes, no limp home) - after v2 firmware flash and v 2.0.1 map install; ran on 3rd to redline to listen for detonation...none noted. - drove car for about 20 miles...no limp home, no problems. - problem occurred the day after install. If it still persists, use the lower torque settings for v2.0.1 I posted here on the forum. - Eugen |
