swapping e90 trim for M3 sedan trim

Has anybody thought about swapping out their interior trim with one of the ones available on the M3 when it comes out? I've been trying to get some information on swapping out my aluminum trim to the Piano Black available on the BMW Individual in Europe and so far it doesn't look like it's going to happen so instead, I'm thinking of maybe swapping out to the Carbon Leather from the M3. Has anybody seen or can someone take some detailed pix of the other interior trims avaialble on the M3?

I'd like to see what they've put in the M3. Also, can someone confirm if this swap would even be possible because from what I've heard to get the Piano Black trim, you have to provide BMW corporate with a BMW Individual VIN. Hopefully, that will not be the case for the M3 trims. :sad0147:

I thought that the piano black trim can be ordered from the dealership? Maybe a cheaper alternative is to have your Al trim professionally painted?

Not in the US. You might be thinking of the trim called High Gloss Black and it is not the same as Piano Black. High Gloss Black has some sparkle to it and so in some angles, you'll see metalic flakes of colors, whereas the Piano black is always black and super glossy.

I'd like to do this as well. I don't think the part will be difficult to get. The only problem I see is compatibility of the center console trim. The M3 center console trim has cut-outs for buttons that control power mode, EDC, and DSC, where as the E90 328 and 335 don't have these.

Well if you're interested in the carbon leather trim, BavDom is selling it. He has not shown actual pics of the trim yet, other than OEM photos, but judging by the quality of other products that they have produced this should be top notch.
