Anyone who had retrofitted rear folding seat?
I've got a grey dakota interior and I really need to swap to a folding rear seat, but I know I am never going to find one that matches in grey, so I am considering my options.
If I get a cloth folding seat, I assume I can re-use the grey dakota cover on the my current seat bottom - is that right? Assuming it is, I am thinking it might be possible to pay someone who does trim to alter the leather on the non-folding seat back to fit the larger (the '60' side) folding seat back, and then I can buy the smaller side of the seat back from a dealer. Is there any reason this plan won't work? Any cheaper way to do this apart from waiting an eternity to find a breaker that has grey leather AND folding seats? |

Yeah, thanks. That thread was the reason I bought the car even though it didn't have folding seats.
But anyway it inspired me to ask the guy who posted that whether I could re-use the seat leather, etc. (as asked above) and his reply was no. So back to watching the breakers, I guess. |
