Corroded BBS Reps

Basically this weather has destroyed my alloys and pretty much all my alloys are corroded around the dish.

Is there a way to sort this out at home using a special type of cleaner or anything? Need to get my dish nice and shiny again!

Thanks

Nice one mate! So should I put this on my wheel and rub it down with steel wool?

I wouldn't go straight to wire wool. Just try some Autosol on a cloth first. Will be a lot of elbow grease. Assuming they're unlacquered.

Unlaquered then metal polish as suggested

if still lacquered get the sand paper out and work your way through 400 upto a good 1000+ grit plus then hit it with a metal polishing kit attached to a corded drill

I got the wheels from ********, they were diamond cut finish IIRC. Therefore I believe its unlacquered, so Ill try autosol with a little elbow grease first!

The diamond cut finish usually has a layer of clear coat over it.

there's loads of options - have a look on some of the main car detailing sites, Ultimate Finish, clean your car, polished bliss etc.

I've used Finish Kare 1000P, Collinite 476s, Poorboys wheel sealant, all with good results. To be honest, any good(ish) sealant will do and if you use FK1000P or 476s, you can use them to wax your car too.
