How do you reset the TPMS? Max or Min?

I usually set my tire pressure to 40 psi for both F and R since I have 19's. I was wondering when I reset the TPMS, should I inflat the tire to the max then set it or should I set it to the lowest pressure I want the TPMS to be triggered?

My understanding of the system is, when tire pressure drops more than 10 psi from the set pressure that will trigger the warning. Is this correct? Or is it triggered whenever the pressure drops below 26-27 psi?

Set it to 40 psi. The warning light will come on when the tire pressure is about 32 psi. Even better thought. Fill the tires to 44 psi. Reset the TPMS. Let 4 psi out of the tires. That way you will be alerted when the pressure drops to 36 psi.

40 psi is a bit much.

So 8 psi pressure drop will trigger the TPMS warning. Thanks. I use 40 psi for better protection of the rims. OC, you should put 42 psi since you have the very expensive BBS LM rims
