A trip down to see Steve at A1...walnut blasting.

Have just had my N54 335i to be walnut blasted at A1BN BMW at Stevenage .

I think the pictures speak for them selves

From this...

To this...

It was a pleasure having the work done by A1, Steve’s customer service is fantastic, and I’ll be more than happy to take my car back to them despite the 160 mile round trip!!

Car does feel smoother, and is going on the dyno next month, so will get a better idea about any power gains…but given how sensitive the N54 335i’s are, it was good that the guys at A1 didn’t find anything too wrong with the car.

Excellent. I've spoken to Steve previously about this and will get it done at some point in the future for sure.

Gang... good to met you by the way pleased you can feel the difference its small but it'll be noticeable, all you need to do moving forward is catch can the Rob Beck PCV valve the pipe we talked about and then at least moving forward you'll be able to control the onset of this taking place again(as this sadly will happen again)

But we are so pleased you're happy with what took place. Any issues let me know

My car has done 57k, driven pretty lightly 95% of the time.

Regarding cost, I know other places do the work for cheaper, but this is quite specialist work and I much rather take the car to people with a good reputation.

Darrenwoods are good, and cheap. But when I had my suspension fitted by them, one nut wasn't torqued properly and result was I ended driving a 300bhp RWD car with one side of the rear suspension not bolted down!! Also my wheels were put back on the car the wrong way round interms of tyre rotation. So even though I know these are simple mistakes anyone can make and clearly DarrenWoods are very good based on their reputation but I wouldn't be taking my car back there.

But A1BN, I'll happily return to them for any work my local garage cannot manage, despite the 160mile round trip that's involved for me
