More 335 drama

I have an 07 335 manual transmission. Full bolt on with meth. I just replaced the engine as the first engine ran lean on cylinder 2 causing piston failure bad injector. Now the current engine has 70k been on for about 1500 miles was getting on it in 2nd gear missed third and got codes 2a99,2a98,3100 change both vanos and nothing read on forums says probably the cam ledge bearings. Order them online and rent tool. Install them as soon as I turn car on get a 2aa4,3100 code. I need some help as I am at a loss here, also changed the wheel that is in front of the cams bolted on to the cam vanos unit And no luck. Any help

Thanks

When you missed third, did you money shift it? Like brought the revs up past redline?
