Anyone in GVA with e92 N54 Performance Exhaust

Hey guy,

I'm looking to buy performance exhaust for e92 N54
However, I've never heard of the exhaust tone in person before
Anyone in GVA that this exhaust and is willing to come out to hangout/chill?

Thanks!

plenty of 335is's around town and I hear it alot, really sounds nice. Speak to Billy from TS Auto, he had an idea of converting stock exhausts to PE ones via the PE exhaust mod which he said he would do if enough people were interested. It should come out a lot cheaper than buying a PE exhaust.

Hey, just wanted to bump this part... I chatted with cuiter23 about this in the summer actually, and never got around to calling TS Auto to see if they were into doing it, and how much they wanted for it. I had checked with another local tuning shop, but they didn't want to bother.

If you have any more info, would love to hear, and if anyone else is interested, I still am!

I ended up having a friend check with TS Auto, where the owner had apparently done the mod to his own E92, and he was asking for $400 if 5 people showed up... So that was too much for me to spend, and I called M-Tech Automotive in PoCo (kid named Chase did the work, owner was Roman) for $260. I only did the passenger side, and it came out pretty good. And here's the logic I used as to why I only went pass side, besides not wanting to spend $400.

If you look at the pics in the PDF guide I put together, you'll see the driver's side already isn't just a perforated pipe like the pass side. There's a canister of sorts, which has some sound insulating properties I'm guessing. But you know it's louder than just a perforated pipe, because A) the valving system is designed to up up that muffler for more noise, and B) it's already proven that putting more exhaust gases thru that side is louder - hence why everyone does the "golf tee" mod to it.

This is what I found with just the pass side done. If I leave the driver's side valve as normal, most exhaust gases go thru the pass side, which now has a straight pipe. It's darn loud! Around 5000 to 5500 RPM on low throttle input (like a steady speed or very slow acceleration), you get some rasp / high pitched sounds. But if you accelerate quickly, it's a nice growl around that range as well, as the driver's side also opens up.

If you leave the exhaust valve open always (golf tee mod), then some gas goes thru the driver's side always, and it mellows out the overall sound a little bit, but is still much louder than stock. I went with this setup in the end, but can easily go back to the louder setup anytime I want by just plugging back in the exhaust valve.

Are you experiencing some drone after the PE mod? What was the turn around time for it to be done?
Also, would it be possible for you to pm me the number for contact?
I would like to get my exhaust done as well.
Dont really feel like paying a grand for a system when the difference is pretty minimal.....compared to m3 and m5 changing exhaust systems
