Service charges
So the brake fluid light has popped back up, do people have this done? Bar 1 indy specialist before my ownership its all bmwsh and i want to keep it that way.
On bmw-service its £45 which is steep as it probably uses £5 worth of oil. Also does anyone know how much they knock of an engine oil service if you supply your own oil?

That's cheap. On my 320d my local dealer was £80. Ended up getting it done with an oil service for £200.

Personally, I would take to a bmw Indy, will know a bmw like back of their hand & be a fraction of the cost for the exact same thing, as long as oem parts are used would be fine.

£45 is damn cheap, I'm assuming that is plus VAT, but brake fluid is usually bought in bulk so materiel cost wise it will be cheap, cheaper than you have stated, labour wise think about it the car comes in goes up in the ramp the bleed takes place(which takes a bit of time though like us the main dealer will have a half decent brake bleeding system which minimises the labour input) then the cars system is reset via diagnostic. Considering main dealer rates are high(£100+VAT with ease) the princely sum of £45 is damn cheap and to me it's a loss leader i.e. to get cars/people through the door as the network is losing customers to Indy's like us plus on the premiss of a 'great value for money brake fluid service' they'll be able to fish for more work and I know that goes on as for a main dealership the time spent profit made doesn't stack up.
