adapter for focal 100 krs in e92

since the adapters from 808MGuy don't seem to be available anymore, the best i can find are these, which look a lot like the ones in a post (which i can't find now) where the 100 krs could not be mounted through the hole because the adapter hole was too small.

does anyone know if the above adapter had to be between the 100 krs and the door, would it still clear the window?

i'm having a hard time finding a speaker setup that will fit in e92 doors easily. the bavsound and the oem bmw individual audio speakers are the only plug and play solutions i see. i don't mind putting a solution together if i know it'll work, but i'm not interested in fabricating anything.

FYI

http://car-speaker-adapters.com/items.php?id=SAK076

The speaker depth is the limiting factor has to be under 50mm and less
in the coupe.
I believe the KRS are some of the thinnest ones.

See speaker list in the audio build thread. Stickied at the top of the page.

Thanks for the adapter link!

As for the stickied speaker list, it doesn't seem like the e92 info is very reliable. I was eyeballing the focal if bmw-s kit, but couldn't find anyone who had successfully installed it in an e92, only in e90's. A review on the focal site for that kit said it specifically did *not* fit a 2013 coupe. I'm not sure how different an f30 coupe is different from an e92 though.

There are a lot more BMW speaker kits now

There are a lot more BMW speaker kits now
Ones that don't require adapters.
Jehnert , Helix, Gladen and I believe mbquart.
Don't know about the depth factor .
I know Vp Electricity has been using Jehnerts in the coupe.
His usual choice is Morels in the 4 door/ wagon
I think the Focal BMW kit is a low power speaker meant
for the OEM amp.

You can try contacting vp electricity. I got Morels and Jehnerts from him a few years back and he does good work. Everything comes ready to install with all the wiring cleanly done and mounting adapters included. Only problem is he is almost impossible to get a hold of.

I would imagine they are somewhat flexible. Probably not ideal for sealing the speaker against the door.

That's what I was thinking when I saw The plastic material, but if you think about PVC it is usually very hard and not very flexible. That's why I asked.

I think those are the ones I referred to in my original post. If those are the ones mentioned in that post I referenced (and haven't re-found yet) the inner diameter isn't big enough to mount the speaker (by its tabs) between the adapter and the door. This leaves mounting them with the adapter between the door and the speaker, shoving the rear of the speaker about the thickness of the adapter closer to the window.

In that other thread, it was an e90, where depth was not an issue, unlike the skinny doors of my e92.

I didn't notice your link. If the speaker doesn't fit you can always make it fit with a dremel or small belt sander.
