Not worth the money at all. For the same price you can get a Stoptech ST-60 kit for the front.

Yeah I just saw this too, seems pretty interesting.
Is there usually a rear kit that will be made as well? I understand that the majority of braking is done on the front wheels, but it would make sense to have a rear kit as well for completion's sake. I wonder how these compare to Performance Friction's BBK. It looks like the Porsche BBK has THREE contact points on the brake pads, for an even distribution of force applied to the pads. ![]() If you look at PF's BBK, you notice how one of their selling points is having even distribution as well, over TWO contact points. ![]() I hope they make a rear kit. Edit: I just realized that the PF brakes actually come with two separate brake pads, while the porsche one is one pad, but three contact points. Makes me wonder which is better? |

Is way over prized!
![]() What for are the extra money for? Red paint job. This kit is designed around rotors from the BMW 750i and Porsche Brembo calipers and isn't new. http://www.goingsuperfast.com/BMW.html These two brothers have been selling it for years. ECS should have if not beat at least meet that price since they have better resources. $2800 is just outrageous... |

Stoptech E90 335i specific kit can be had for $2300 shipped.
Willwood E90 335i specific kit can be had for $2400 shipped. Both of these are high-quality kits engineered by highly reputable world known companies specifically for our cars. I fail to understand this massive urge to by some no-name brand piece meal BBK solutions...

Stoptech is better than Wilwood, however the later is cheaper.
4 pot Willwood with 2pcs rotor which is similar to ST-40 is about $1800 6 pot Willwood with 2pcs rotor which is similar to ST-60 is about $2000 The cheapest would be stock rotors with ST-40 that sales for about $1200 I haven't look into the pad options on both. That is very important. Brakes to me are porn. I saw your ST and they were hard core! I'm very curious to hear your first impressions. Last edited by vwetish; 02-26-2015 at 11:30 PM.. |

The biggest reason why I did not go with Wilwood is the fact that you need to take off the calipers to replace the pads as they are using the Aero 6 and Aero 4 caliper models for our cars:

Front 355x32 rotors and 6 pistons
Rear 345x28 rotors and 4 pistons These fit inside most 18 inch wheels. The ST60 caliper can be had with rotor sizes up to 380mm, but you will need 19 inch wheels.

Correct! The ST6 caliper works with 4 different rotor sizes if I recall correctly. I just chose the biggest that I can fit in my custom CCWs which are 18"

Those ST60's calipers are massive! Impressive stuff. No doubt! They are larger than my Brembo's that go over 370mm rotor. That is why you can use them with 380mm rotor as well. Therefore, ST60 even with 355mm rotor will not fit under most BMW OEM 18" wheels. You can print out template to check though... |
