18x9.5 et 22 fitment

Hi guys,

I am planning on purchasing a set of Volk Racing TE37 SL with specification 18x9.5 ET 22 all around. I will be planning on putting Michelin PSS 245 40R18 front and rear.

Now the question is will it fit? Will it have clearance issues as well as rubbing?

Car is BMW 335 xdrive LCI sedan with KW V1.

Great help will be appreciated.

I can't be sure, wait for some of the more knowledgeable members to confirm, but I don't think you're gonna get those fronts under the fender at all with PSS 245. Even some other brand would be a big asking, but PSS are extra fat. Maybe with a lot of camber. The rears should be ok with a roll. If you manage it, I'd love to see it

Come to mention it I'd love to see those CE28s too...

I would say no, but it depends on camber. I have the same specs up front and -1.7degrees of camber but with Hankooks. My suspension is set kind of stiff and my front fenders were flattened. You can probably fit the pss with more camber, but then the wheel won't be as flush. With -1.7 degrees the wheel is about 1mm out of the fender. With more camber the wheel will start to tuck in. if you dont care about the wheel fitment then just do around -2.5 degrees and you should be good.

Here is how my front wheel fits.

Like others have said it needs negative camber front. I think something like -3 and i also recommend flattening the front fenders. If you don't have camber plates at front you will need to get those, since front camber isn't adjustable from factory. This e92 has 18x9.5 et22 with 235/40/18 hankook rs3 which is some kinda fat semi track tyre http://europeanautosource.com/blog/b...sl-wheels.html

As for rear you might need some added camber there too in addition to fender roll, since you have LCI and it has less room at back than pre-lci. Rear camber is adjustable from factory.

I'm in the same boat. I'm about to pull the trigger on some track wheels 18x9.5 et22 square and I'm trying to fit the widest tires I can without breaking my front fenders. I like the 235/40 look. But I'm leaning towards 245/35 on federal rs-r.

E92 is riskier since the fenders are plastic. I am lowered enough to get rid of the wheel gap and I am sure it does rub every now and then. My tires reshaped the plastic fender liner and wore out the inside edge on the bumper so I can see that it is a very tight fit. I havent had any issues though. If I set my suspension a few clicks softer I do rub a little bit.

I am sure that with -2.5 and especially -3 degrees of camber you could fit a pss with the same size. If you are at stock height I am sure you can get away with a little bit less camber.

+1 camber specs are also useful if you're gonna list your specs and say they work.

For the updates guys, since the exchange rate is crap, I decided to go with Advan Rs 18x9.5 ET 25 all around.

As for the tires, I really dont know if I should go PSS or stay with Conti.

Yeah from all the research I've been doing anything wider than a 235/40 front most likely requires camber plates. I just ordered my vorshlag camber plates and will be lowered on kw v3s and running 18x9.5 +22 with 255/35/18 Bridgestone Potenza s-04. I am also an xdrive as well! Hopefully I'll be able to get some pictures up here soon, the weather is still pretty shitty in the north east so once things clear up I'll have my setup mounted.

Indeed if you will be running wider wheels, it will required camber plates. However my offset is not too aggressive ET25 and I just order a set of Advan AD08R 245 40R18 all around. So my guess is for this setup, camber plates are not required.

I think you still need camber plates. Your front wheels will poke 5mm at stock camber and it will rub if you are lowered. Like I said I have no extra clearance with 9.5et22 and -1.7 degrees of camber and 245/35/19.
