Are you spraying yourself, using a brush on kit, or sending them for powder coating?

For the DIY application I would remove as much as possible. Essentially just leave the brake line attached and nothing else. I would depress the piston.

I used a G2 kit back in 2010 and still looks great. Good luck and post a pic when you're finished!

No it doesn't. With the right wheels and color combo it looks really good. I admit is difficult to get right without it looking ghetto, but it can be done. For example if you have a black on black car, with drilled discs, yellow stock calipers looks awesome, and I am really hard to please, if it looked cheap in the slightest, I would hate it. On the other hand, on for example a blue car with silver wheels, red stock calipers would look cheap. There are a few combos you can get away with.

How are you prepping them? I went nuts last year and pulled mine off, took off as much oxidation and dirt with a angle grinder with a metal brush attachment but it still rusted through with G2 caliper paint. Now the winters here are a mess with road salt so take it as you may.
