HELP! Feel loss of power after custom midpipe install

Hi guys, a couple days ago, i just swapped out my catless AE exhaust i've been running for a while now to the bmw PE exhaust. i did not have my original midpipes so i had a muffler shop do a custom 2.5" midpipe with a xpipe, along with ar catless downpipes. There's a lot more pop and burble now but i notice a loss of low end power/torque right away when i'm driving around and when i step on it and feels like there is a lag. Car just feels slower than before. I am FBO running cobb protuned by the way. Could it be that it's more restrictive than the AE exhaust? Because the AE exhaust is 2.75" and straight through as opposed to the custom 2.5" with xpipe. Can anyone chime in on this or experience this at all?

A leaky exhaust will not rob you of any power, it might even increase power do to the extra leaks letting more air flow throughout. Maybe the new one is clogged? Like it had something shoved into it before installation? Either that or its a coincidence and something is going on with your cars engine. Did you drop it off at the shop to have the work done? Maybe they took it for a ride and money shifted it, bent some valves. Best of luck, let us know what happens.

They checked..no leaks from the exhaust. They said it could be the difference in air flow from the two exhausts because my car was protuned by Cobb with the AE exhaust. Car is fine as far as I know because I'm not throwing any codes. I was there the whole time so I know they didn't take it for a joy ride. Could the xpipe be the culprit because I was straight pipe before?
