Battery Coding help in NJ?

Hi, I have a 2011 e92 328i coupe and looks like my battery needs to be changed. I've been getting car Lift light on randomly, took it to the dealer and they said to leave the car for at least 4 hours to test the battery.

Anyways, before I go get ripped off at the dealership, does anyone in NJ do this battery register/coding? I'm in Somerset, NJ.

UPDATE:I'm looking into BMWhat app ($60) which now includes the battery registration. And narrowed it down to BMWhat adoptor on Amazon.com ($30).

Now searching for proper battery for my car.

Found another thread that offers new battery and registration for $200. waiting for an answer from the OP.

I think i'll go this route since Exide battery alone is $190. Just need to pay toll to get to Queens.

Yes it can be coded via iPhone / Android using the Bmwhat app

I have the app that costs about $50 the battery registration feature is I think around $10 to be unlocked

Take it to autozone or something and get the battery checked for free. Then you can just buy/replace the battery yourself which is really easy and use the BMWhat app to register it. Or if you know anyone in the area with the app, they can do it for you.

AutoZone doesn't do Bimmer installs. I can do it but I'm in Brooklyn.

They do battery checks is what I'm saying so OP knows it is the battery that needs to be replaced. Replacing it himself is still not that hard really.

I can replace a battery. Im looking for someone in NJ who can help me register the new battery to the car before i spend $60 app and $30 adopter to do it myself.
