Circuit City, Sears, Compusa all had the upgraded verison of that TV (the 64U series) on sale last week for between 1299 and 1499 & sold out without hours. I think it's back to regular prices now.

Yeap it was for black friday sale. they sold out quick but special order was available if you wanted to wait a few weeks.
