18" or 19" on coilovers for New England roads

Just picked up an E92xi coupe and have been shopping for new wheels. I prefer to go with a square set up so that I can rotate tires as this is my daily.

So for those in the New England area or any where else with crappy roads. I was considering running 19x8.5 et35 square maybe spacers in the rear. It will be lowered via coilovers and no I don't want to lay frame. Probably like a VMR 710 style. My concern is, those of you who are running 19" tires 235/35/19, any issues with bent/damaged wheels.

I know, it all depends on how you drive and if you don't see the crater in the highway, but for overall normal driving, any issues or concerns. I have always had lowered vehicles for the past 20+ years, so I know how to drive lowered cars.

Your honest thoughts and yes, if I am want to be a little girl just get 18"s. But seriously. Your helps would be appreciated.

If you hit a pothole (at speed) any wheel would be susceptible to damage. Going with 19s I don't think you'll have to "tip-toe" around town, though, you should pay a bit closer attention to any abnormally large pot holes. It just comes with the territory with going with a larger diameter wheel. That said, we have plenty of customers on the east coast who have not run into any issues

Here in Greece, there is not a single perfect 19" front wheel. I don't know what the roads are like where you are, but here they are bad. Not disgusting, but bad. I have my front wheels straightened every so often, it goes with the territory. You are going to wreck them if you happen to fail to notice a single highway crater, especially if you are on hard coils.

To use your own words...if you are going to be a little girl about it, go 18s.
