Forge DV's Opening During WOT Run
I noticed yesterday that my Forge DV's are opening in the middle of a WOT pull and I'm not hitting full boost. Boost is only reaching about 12 PSI where I usually see 18+. Only codes are fuel mixture codes P29E0 and P29E1.
Thoughts? |

I think the springs are worn, uncommon, but not unheard of...

If this is possible then he can theoretically try the blue spring to see if it fixes the issue or try adding a spacer first.
OP if you don't have spare springs Forge does sell them for about ~$20. It's also worth cleaning the DV while you are there. |

Before going down this road of investigating the Dv's, make sure you don't have any vacuum or boost leaks. After a month of tweaking my DV's I realized I had a leak somewhere else!
Good luck op

Would a boost leak somewhere else cause the DV's to open prematurely? |

My guess would be a vac leak...Maybe a rebuild kit for the DV's too?

Do a log and make sure that throttle closure isn't causing the BOV to vent.

Excuse my laziness but I should have popped the hood prior to posting. One of the vacuum hoses going from the DV to the intake manifold had popped off of the DV.
It's never this easy which is why I posted here first. Thanks for all your help and suggestions. |

Don't worry, many people post problem threads without popping the hood. Most problems are typically very easy. |
