Questions For Those Who Installed Vrsf 7" Fmic

So I just got my 7" fmic and removed bumper and trimmed radiator fan shroud.

My questions are:
1) Did you have to cut the 1 time use clamp on the passenger side hose?
2) Did you have to cut the 1 time use clamp on the driver side hose?
3) Does the straight silicon hose go on the passenger side?

Tried googling and searching E90 post but no one has mentioned any of these things.

thanks

1. Yes
2. Don't recall, I think it depends on whether you purchased the option from vrsf. I forget the term.
3. Yes, I believe it was a coupler.

Yes I dremel tool both. Its a pain in the ass to pop it using the a flathead. You just got to be careful when cutting because you can knick a line. Also the straight coupler goes to passenger side to the turbo outlet

2: Lower Charge Pipe option. Necessary for 09+, recommended for all.

Thanks guys, those were the only things I wasn't too sure of. Everyone who installed this and did a write up didn't mention what they did with these hoses.

Hopefully I can finish the install after work today.

U can get both the drivers side and passenger sides off by jamming a screw driver underneath the clamp where they meet and can unclip it with a slight bent.

Thanks guys for the tips. Got the passenger side off as you suggested with a flat head. I did the lower charge pipe upgrade so that was easy.

Everything is installed and I checked to make sure the clamps are tight and no leaks by reving it to 5-6K RPM and no blown pipes. Any other way to check for leaks or issues?

I do notice my AFE DCI making more noise and sucking more air in. NORMAL?

Revving in neutral won't do anything as there is no boost or load.

Easiest way to test is to get it on the road and let her rip.

Drove it to work today, about a 17 mile drive. Didn't really get on it as I didn't want to have problems and miss work. I did however punched it here and there and no issues. Will try and do some WOT on the way home when I am closer to home.

Again, thanks guys for the info.

If you load it up in 3rd gear at like 30 MPH and give it WOT and it holds the boost you are probably good to go.
