Intercooler upgrade question
Is it worth upgrading the FMIC? I have the DCI upgrade but I hate how hot these engines seem to run, especially in the hot summer months that are coming up.
I'm running COBB stage 1 Aggressive which requires no upgrades. Just trying to get some more airflow in there and wondering if its worth the money?

Absolutely worth upgrading the FMIC. The IAT on these cars heats up super fast during a WOT run due to the inefficient stock FMIC. Do a datalog and you'll see.

Yep! Stage 1 + FMIC is a faster map then Stage 2 for just downpipes too.
The stock intercooler is inefficent even on a stock tune car. FMIC should be everyone's first mod. |

An intercooler is hands down the best mod available for this car. The OEM intercooler can barely handle the stock turbos and REALLY struggles once you increase boost pressure.

I'm not a expert but can work on cars. Took me 1.5hr to swap out the water pump and t stat. I just think the 7'' is little to big for the small openings even after trimming, and explanation on removing the stock connectors wasn't good either.
