Will using this battery for a couple days destroy my car?
I know all the horror stories and the registration etc, but for a couple days what is the risk factor? |

I was under the impression that if you don't register the battery, because the car doesn't adapt to the new battery it won't charge it properly and shorten the battery's lifespan. But, it won't actually hurt the car, because it's still drawing whatever power it needs to from the battery, as long as the battery itself can handle it. And if it can't, then you'll get odd electrical gremlins most like a dying battery anyway, which is usually fixed by putting in a proper battery and the car is fine again.
so, tl:dr no it shouldn't hurt your car, it might hurt the battery (but not likely) |
