Anybody in AZ know of a good shop to install turbos at a reasonable rate?

Thanks in advance....

Thanks I just looked them up. Looks like they have done a couple Motiv kits and some serious high end cars.

AZ Bimmer Motor Werks did my VTT2+'s. Ask for Nick. Tell him Chris sent you -they put 2+'s on my car a few months ago. They did a good job. You may as well get the intakes installed while you're there.

Hey Chris,
I used them a couple times for my injectors and water pump. Nick was a nice guy. If you don't mind me asking what was the damage on the install? Intakes??
What do you think of the turbos?

I don't remember off the top of my head. I know they gave me a decent rate because it was their first. They had a few issues to work through and considered it a learning experience. I supplied them with everything -gaskets, etc. I ended up cracking a turbo inlet tube so had to get another one of those (the new silicone VTT's weren't out yet) and I think the total was maybe $1500 or so? I had them do a few other things though, like new vac lines, etc.

I did the VTT silicone inlets recently. They were a pita to put on for the shop too, again, their first. They could probably do it faster next time. They charged me 4 hours I think. Might have been 5.

The turbos are tremendous. I got the 19t/unclipped... spool is fantastic and they make a lot of power. I'm very pleased... about 5000 miles on them so far.

Ill have to start looking for new inlets then. Id like to get it all installed at once. What do you recommend getting done maintenance wise with the turbos?

Im psyched to get them installed!! I originally started on the group buy for stage 3s.
Thanks for all your input...

I did the waterpump/thermostat at the same time. It's right there if they're changing the turbos. Obviously change out your vac lines -get some good stuff. I had them look and see if my valve stem seals were leaking -good to know now if they are. N54's are pretty robust like that so you're probably (hopefully) okay. I also changed my motor mounts to new OEM. You'll need engine oil, filter, the turbo gasket kit (Tony sells a nice one cheap), coolant, etc. That should get them in the general ball part of most of the parts required.

I did some other things but they were when I had them do the clutch/flywheel. A couple bushings/check seals/etc.

I'm going to have to do some suspension maintenance and get an LSD next. The power is awesome.

I had Nick do my waterpump, injectors and clean my valves awhile ago. Ill definitely get what you mentioned. Are you having any problems with fueling?
I have the M Factory LSD, Defiv lockdown kit and m3 subframe bushings getting installed soon. Hopefully that should help hook up the tires. I appreciate your help. Im new to BMWs.

I had mine done at AZ Bimmerwerks. I think Nick charged me a little over 400 verses BMW wanting a little under a grand.

Sounds about right. I have the BMW tools and some harbor freight BS that if you want to borrow and do yourself, you're welcome to. You'll need your own compressor. For $400 I'd just pay someone else to do it, lol.
