Wheel Bolts for Avant Garde M359

hey everyone,

just bought myself a new set of AG M359 wheels for my AW E92 335i and i cannot wait to have them installed on my car!!!

i'm wondering if i can use the existing OEM wheel bolts with my OEM BMW Style 189 wheels or if i need to purchase some new wheel bolts.

thanks!

You're good. My 189 have winter tires and use the same bolts when switching to m359

Hmm, just got an email from Scott Chu at Avant Garde and he says that the OEM bolts will not work as they're ball seats. He says I need conical seat hardware for AG wheels.

Can someone else chime in? Looks like we got some conflicting answers here.

You were told by the mfg of the wheel which lugs to use. Do not deviate. Conical and taper shank are not interchangeable.

Manufacture emailed me back telling me that they were wrong initially. They thought original BMW hardware was ball seat. However, truth is that it is indeed conical. Therefore, oem lug bolts should work perfectly fine. Scott Chu from AG has confirmed this.

Uh sometimes manufacturers are wrong. Your wheels and most aftermarket wheels are conical seat. You can use your stock ones 100% unless you are running a spacer

Yeah that was my mistake. I thought the OEM BMW hardware was ball seat and answered the email without asking anyone else at the office. Just here to confirm that these OEM hardware is indeed conical seat, and it will work on the M359 wheels.
