VO questions
So I'm pretty new to the coding world... I recently installed LCI tail lights on my 05/2007 e92. I have the usual fast turn signal and bulb check errors.
Now here the problem.... I have previously had a local coder do some work on my car before. I've added a MULF2, blue tooth, alarm, and USB which were not installed on my car from the factory. He also did some basic coding - like folding mirrors on lock and windows up and so on. I have the FRM2 from factory and everything for programming set up on my laptop. I'm trying to do the LCI coding the "factory" way (not just disabling bulb checks and such) and added +MUEB under the CAS and NFRM. To my understanding the NFRM needs to be reset to the factory defaults after this. I know I will lose the basic coding (mirrors folding on lock), but can anyone tell me if I will lose all the other coding which has been done? I'm pretty hesitant to do so since I know it was a rather involved process to retrofit everything. Last edited by SDG335i; 03-25-2015 at 09:27 AM.. |

Will I lose all the additions that have been made to the VO? I don't really understand how additions can be made to the VO if it keeps resetting back to the factory defaults.

Save a copy of trc file of both modules before coding them to factory so you have a back up of the current settings. Then afterwards make the new changes to your now factory file to bring back your customized coding.
