transferring TPMS to new wheels?

hey all, noob question here but I have 2011 335d with the stock 17" wheels / RFT.

I purchased 18" PSS + aftermarket wheels, the local tire shop says the TPMS that is currently in the RFT/oem wheels doesn't fit the new setup. I thought it would fit? There's only 1 model of TPMS for the e90 right?

edit: saying the valve is too thick to thread through.

Jus transferred mine to my new wheel/tire setup (19' BBS LM Reps) at the tire shop last night. Everything worked out perfect for my e90.
