Just installed - 19" staggered Alzor 030 - first impressions
My car came on the stock 18” 189’s with Blizzak’s on it running stock 225/255 tire sizes. I needed some wheels for the summer and love the CSL look. Prices vary widely on CSL reps (real ones were well beyond what I was willing to spend). My top 3 contenders were:
Alzor 030 eBay replicas VMR V703 (formerly VB3) I liked the VMR’s the best of the three, but sadly VMR is out of stock on the sizes and color I wanted. V710 is similar but IMO not as nice and more expensive, so that was a no go. That left me with eBay vs Alzor. Alzor is ECS Tuning’s house brand. ECS is known for being a reputable outfit and I’ve done business with them previously; the wheels were slightly cheaper than the random eBay wheels that I couldn’t even get an answer on who made them, so the choice was easy – Alzor 030. I bought the staggered 19” 030 setup; 19x8.5 ET35 up front, 19x9.5 ET40 rear: http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E92-335...nch/ES2695482/ I also bought the OEM BMW 64.5mm center cap stickers: http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E92-335..._Caps/ES65671/ These wheels come with the 030 stickers (not attached) that go in the small rectangle portion of the wheel. I decided to go with the OEM look and got the “M” stickers on eBay for $4.99 shipped: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-M-4-TEC-...e57794&vxp=mtr I also needed TPMS sensors. These things get pricey quick. I read some good reviews about the ITM sensors. Price was right so I hit up eBay again and scored a set for $129 shipped: http://www.ebay.com/itm/330894174446...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT The wheel finish has some flaws in it, probably from powder coating over imperfections in the wheels. There were also a couple of small scratches on them. ECS offered to either replace them or a credit. The car is a daily driver and these flaws aren’t noticeable unless you are getting up close and personal with the wheels, so I accepted a credit. Me = happy customer. I really wish ECS/Alzor wouldn’t apply the “Alzor” center cap stickers from the factory. They were a bit of a pain to remove and clean the center cap. I’d think it would be cheaper to produce them without the stickers attached. The OEM 64.5mm center cap sticker fits perfectly into that space. The “M” stickers also fit perfectly. ET35 was a perfect fit up front, running 245/35/19’s. No rubbing lock-to-lock. ET40 is a little too conservative but still looks good, running 275/30/19’s. I’m not going to review the tires yet as I didn’t get to drive on them after mounting the wheels last evening and my drive this morning was on brand new tires in the rain…not exactly a fair way to assess any tire. There was no rubbing of any kind during my drive. I can say road noise is the same or less than before; ride feels as good and perhaps better. TPMS sensors are working perfectly. The larger diameter tire really helped with my inaccurate speedo. I coded the digital speedo on the dash + deactivated the speedo correction (which, sadly, only impacts the digital speedo). Previously, the analog/cruise indicator was 5MPH high @ a GPS 70MPH, it is now 3MPH high. The digital speedo was previously ~1.5MPH high @ 70MPH and is now about 1MPH low @ 70MPH. Pics: |

I agree I would like them a bit more concave, but that cost difference is pretty significant. |

Looks great! I have the 730s (5 spoke) and I've been really happy with them so far. Hard to beat the price, even if the finish quality isn't pristine. I'm running a square setup with 235s. Good to hear that you have no issues with 245s up front … when it's time for new tires I'll consider 245s with a bit more confidence.
