Exclamation ps2's and 21 degrees is a bad combo

We all already know this but holyshit it was so cold out that I honestly couldnt even accelerate.Ive never experienced it this bad. Arctic air front caught us by surprise.Well, yukon it is for the next few days until I get my new snowtires on my stockies. Those of you who dont know not to drive on summer tires in freezing temps DONT do it, you'll probably crash your bimmer.

I agree, say compared to F1 GS D3 summers, the PS2's are more of a *true* summer tire.

fotios, you're in MA...what part of "high performance SUMMER tires" did you not understand? LOL.

As you know, I know ALL about driving in MA. You should know you need either high performance ALL SEASON tires or Winter snow tires on your car, especially if it's not an Xi. Geez...what did you expect from the PS2s in below-freezing temps with snow, sleet, freezing rain, and icy road conditions?

we got snow like a shit here and I actually experienced same thing as OP today.

I run Toyo T1R as a summer set up. well, I was too stupid to driving with it in the snow.

I couldn't even make a mile with it. car slipped like crazy.

I barely came back to my place and changed to my stock set up, which is conti. pro contact RFT. much better in snow.

I have PS2's on my cayman and find that they are driveable on 30F dry days, BUT they need 20 minutes of warm-up... Very easy to get sideways easily, as long as it's dry quite progressive. If it's damp and below 40F, I just don't take them out.

I had potenza re040's before on a zhp and PS1's on another zhp, neither of those tires lost traction with temperature the way the PS2 does. It just drops off a cliff, especially when the tire is cold.

Same with me but when the temps got down to 20 degrees it was dangerous.Even after they heated up it was extremely easy to get sideways.fun too

not the fault of PS2's. Disregarding all-seasons which are not good enough all year long using high perf summer tires in winter and commenting about e.g. GSD3 is not that bad when freezing is like arguing who's dog's shit stinks more - yours or your neighbours? But what's the big deal, it's crap anyway...?

Summer tires for summer, winter tires in winter.
