Just to confirm. With the installation of the Sportster seats, there will be a loss of the occupancy sensor and the airbags will be disabled correct?

It´s already a bit of an old thread but the question still is unanswered and at least for me of interest.

Can anyone tell the difference between OEM seats and the Sportster CS in terms of how much headroom will be gained?

I am looking to get racing seats soon and i know that i will need the oc3 airbag module emulator to not throw codes. My question is if i dont get the module will it just have a light on my dash or will there be a loud beeping sound going off the whole time? I am really not trying spend $300 on the emulator if i am only gonna have a light on my dash. But if its gonna make an annoying sound all the time then i will have to. Thanks
