Canon Lens Question...general

Hi guys! first off nice work all of you!!!

I have a Canon S2 IS (kind of like an advanced point and shoot) but not exactly a DSLR =( just got it to start takin shots) i want to buy some lenses for.

Question #1 Do I need an adapter to put the lenses on?
2. What lenses would you say are an absolute must?
3. Where Can I buy said lenses? ebay?
4. any thing else to watch out for?

i primarily like to take moving shots, cars, macro and outdoors shots

S2 IS? Not sure what that is but if you want a nice lens, get a 17-55 IS <- has image stabilization. This lens is perfect for moving shots.

Note. That lens i just told you about is only made for DSLR bodies.
