e92 Spare tire jack
About to purchase a spare tire jack kit and can't figure out if I also need to purchase jack pads. Read through alot of posts and haven't seen this mentioned.

If you get the BMW jack you won't need them with that. It fits into the jack points. I have the one that comes in the zippered bag with the torque wrench (seasonal tire change kit). Just tried it out yesterday. It works well but it does tend to "sink", so you need to crank it a few times while you're working or the car will be lower by the time you're ready to put the wheel back on.
But I recommend getting them anyway. Very handy if you want to use a hydraulic jack. I have both the Reverse Logic (with the plastic buttons) and the Burger Motorsports. I found the BMS one easier to use because it doesn't get stuck in the jack points.
