FACT

Burning one gallon of gas produces 20 pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2).
One tree removes about 10 pounds of carbon dioxide per YEAR.

Ever thought about how much of that Co2 is put back into the environment when those trees are now burned as firewood?

2/3 cup of coffee grounds is the proper amount to use in a 12 cup coffee maker, when making 12 cups and using two teaspoons per 6 oz. of coffee. Figured I'd share as long as we are talking about useless observations...

On a serious note, there are so many people removing their cats on these cars. On my old subaru I did the same and in the end regretted it. In most cases if people went with a high flow cat that meets EPA standards, they would only have approximately 5 whp less than no cats. At least this was the case with the STI.

Some states are really strict with regards to modifications to cars such as California. Recentely the CHP is being funded to find these modified cars and can legally pull you over if they think you have modified the emissions system in a car. Running no cats is easy as you can smell the fuel. Those cars are then sent to the state air quality emissions referee station to verify the car is in stock condition. If it is not, there are huge fines and a smog recheck yearly. The federal fine for modifying exhausts out of compliance is huge - somewhere in the $10,000 range if I remember correctly.

At any rate, it is something to consider.

AFAIK its a 10k fine here in Jersey as well. There are times Ive seen cop stops where they point at modded cars and wave them to pull over. Then they have these mirrors they use to walk around your car and see under at your cats. Its like a DUI stop for your car, its scary.

They just pretend they never heard about it. Or care for it.
