19" 225 35 profile, hard ride compared to 16"?

Firstly thank you in advance for advice,

I am looking to put some 19" wheels on my BMW but am worried about making it a harsh ride, it is a E91 Touring with standard 16" wheels, it is an SE not an M Sport or anything and I also own an E87 M Sport and find this a hard uncomfortable ride, will the E91 feel the same?

Tires have quite a bit to do with ride quality and there is a large difference in ride between a 205/55R19 and a 225/35R19.

I've never even seen a 16" on a e9x before. Europe? 18" was standard on mine. 19" optional. I have 19" and love them. Firm but ok on bumps. Get good tires as stated.
I have 235/35-19 front on 19x8.5 and 275/30-19 rear on 19x9.5 rear.
