How to measure boost?

Seemingly simple question.

But need an answer that works!

Car 2007 335i , build 12/2006 ( important to those who know), untuned

What i have tried...
1. Torque of course. Bt adapter connects fine etc. but boost gets truncated to a max of 2.7 psi. This is a known issue. My guess, needs cable.
2. Bmwhat (trial ver only) with my elm bt. They clearly say need cable for pre 3/2007 build.

Question... Before i buy full ver of bmwhat and the cable, can it monitor boost or intake man pressure? I didn't see that option in the trial ver?

Any other obd methods?

Ps i measured boost with a hose connected to the intake man barb( hose hooked to the dvs). Measured 8 psi.

The JB4 app is very nice, but since it's a stock car, I assume you don't have a JB4. So...MHD Flasher. The monitor module will do the job and output more parameters (like 6 cyl timing) than any other options.

Ty for reading and noticing its untuned correct no jb4

So, mhd flasher, i can monitor without tuning correct? Cobb cannot monitor stock program unless you install a stage.

Thanks, is it available to the public?

You seem to be from germany, your peers bmwhat (ivini) recognize that pre 3/2007 build need a cable for coding and monitoring and bluetooth may not work. Any comments?

Ok just saw, mhd works only w cable! Great. Guessing this cable should be fine,

http://www.amazon.com/Original-BMWha...s=Bmwhat+cable

With the usb otg adapter.

Does flas module include monitor module? Or both need to be purchased separately?

This cable only works for pre 3/2007 production models.
Flash and monitor are separate purchases.

You can get boost from the OBD port with a diagnostic cable. Assuming you are stock tuned.
