I have a hard time liking cars like this for one very simple fact - everyone will drive very slowly around you. Unless you very clearly modify the car, people will think it is an unmarked cop car in my area. Only SHOs I've seen in recent years have been driven by law enforcement.

Cool car nonetheless.

More of the reliability factor. German cars are not known for their reliability or ease of maintenance.

If I had to have a large domestic sedan, the Chevy SS or Dodge Charger R/T or SRT8 would be my choice.

They are putting the 3.5 eco in everything now... you can get one with computer ready to run for 7k and put it in something more fun...

New German cars I find very reliabilty. I own domestic cars and those are the ones with issues. I spend more time and GM and Ford service departments fixing poor build quality issues.

According to Edmunds, only the Tesla Model S and Audi A7 have more, but those are technically hatchbacks.

The back seat is plenty big too.
Not in the cop car version. Don't ask...

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
