Logic 7 speakers cracklin

I've had my car for about 5 days now, and I've noticed that when I listen to my ipod using the ipod/usb adapter, the small sider speakers on the front doors make crackling noises. Granted I do listen to my music loud, but I'm not sure if this is normal. My old car was an SUV, so the speakers were at the level of my legs, I'm not sure if I'm noticing this more since those speakers are near my ears. Has anyone else had this experience? It usually happens when the msuic has a treble part in it.

It may be your ipod. Try the same song with the radio volume turned down. Listen close to the speaker and see if you still hear the crackling. If so, make sure your ipod isn't turned all the way up and disable its equalizer. Use the equalizer in the car audio system only. You may simply be overloading the input to the audio system. Also, how are your songs ripped into your itunes? Are you using 128K AAC? If so, try ripping at a higher rate; e.g., 256K or Apple lossless.

Pacman, what was your problem exactly? Was there noise from all speakers or just the side speakers on top? I'm going to try disabling the EQ on the ipod and turning the ipod volume down a little and see if this fixes the problem.

The crackling isn't continuous...it comes and goes at certain parts of a song. What did they replace for you exactly? The speakers?
