Charger for car battery
I'm going to pick up a charger to connect to the car when fashing and coding. Anything I need to know or look out for when I buy one?
Thanks |

I just want something to keep the battery full when coding or flashing so I think I'll go for something a little smaller. I guess it's just make sure it's for 12V batteries. |

I'd probably make sure it was 10a or above, if it's just the MHD flasher I don't think it takes as long anyway as it doesn't use your original bin for the backup.

I have always used a Ctek to charge and maintain/recondition my batteries right through my recent car life.
I recommend that when coding or flashing that you use one with a 'Supply function'. Ctek 7.0, ctek 10 etc etc!

My parents have a CTEK MXS 7.0, using it to recondition my tired battery at the moment.
It does have a supply mode, but it's designed to be used with the battery unplugged, so that you don't lose settings, codes etc. |
