Oil question/Reviews

2006 325i.

Is this a good/correct product? I live in Louisiana and the weather here gets real hot. This will be my first oil change, I'm not sure what they used before.

Just go OE for oil and filter. Order on line and ship it to you. Get an oil filter cover wrench.

Oh, and may help you here. There's been just a few threads on the topic of oil and oil changes. Just a few. LOL

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Probably it will work quite well, but that's the older LL-98 spec oil. Look for something LL-01 spec.

As E says, Search.

Let me ask you a few questions.
1) where would I go online about purchasing Oem oil/filter?
2) What are my other options for non oem

Search is your friend. Plenty of vendors out there.

getbmwparts.com is an excellent site and packages oil change kits for every car shipped ground to your door.

New BMW packaged oils are SOPUS products, previous was Castrol.

You also could easily run LL01 rated oils such as Mobil1 0/40 from Wally world, grab a few filters from Amazon from Mann and call it a day.

So many options.
