Non I Drive MP3 Playback Question

I have a 325xi with the BMW Professional radio and no I Drive. I burned a CR-R with two short stories from BMW (see the Owner's Circle). I used Sonic RecordNow software that came with my HP Pavilion notebook. I can playback the MP3 files (yes they have the MP3 file extension) with the computer and my DVD player but not in the BMW Professional Radio.

The radio displays the two MP3 short stories OK on it's display and seems to be running. But I do not get any audio.

HELP. What am I doing wrong? The "Owners' Manual for Radio" is not much help.

You know I have almost the same as you. In my case I get some audio, but it sounds like it is skipping (like a scratched CD would)... There is another topic on the idea with alot of instructions on things that are known to work:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13355

My problem is I have a larged already ripped MP3 collection of about 50 CDs(like 8 GB) none of which seem to work. Looks like I'm going to have a fun week...

Same problem with iTunes software

Espo,

I burned a second CD-R with the audio books from BMW using iTunes software. BTW, these books are at www.bmw-audiobooks.com not the Owners Circle.

I was extra careful to to make sure that I saved as MP3 files. Same results, no audio. The radio shows MP3 and lists the tiltles of the two short stories.

I think there is a problem with the software on the car. My car was built in October, 2005. Again, I do not have the I Drive Nav system.

HELP.
