Low Beam Out

My passenger side low beam is out. Changed the bulb, not working. Looks like there is a short in the wiring. The dealer said 1200$ to replace the headlight module and an additional 600$ for the headlight control module. How can I trouble shoot this problem? Since other lights (high beam, etc) in this module are working fine, I think a simple fix will solve the problem. After all it is a light issue. Any suggestions (instructions, pics, or videos) on this would be really helpful.
Thanks all

Were they OEM or aftermarket bulbs?

They were aftermarket bulbs. But the issue is not with the bulb. How can i trouble shoot what is wrong with the low beam circuit? Is there a fuse for this circuit? If so where is it located?

I would start by checking fuses and headlight switch knob. check for loose wiring also.

Do you know where the fuses for the headlight is located? Inside the glove compartment there are a bunch of them, but they do not like they are for the headlight. Thanks

Ok I went ahead and replaced my OEM headlight modules with performance halo ones. Still my pass side low beam is out. Any idea on how to replace the control unit? Where is it located?

This is the closest thread I can find to my own issue. Passenger side low beam (halogen) is out. Changed the bulb, worked, then out again. Tapped the headlight assembly and it turned on. A short somewhere perhaps?

a reconnection should be fine in most cases, as a loose connection will cause some sort of flickering else if, some modules will need to be replaced to brand new

ok so the "light control module" is just the ballast for the xenons. if you replace that and it still doesnt work then you have a short in your wiring.

I've had this problem for months. replaced both bulbs and didnt work, replaced both ballasts and driver side worked but passenger side didnt. swapped over the ballasts from passenger to driver side and still doesnt work (only the low beam, indicator and angel eyes work). took out the passenger headlight and wired it to a spare battery and it works. I took it to my friends shop and plugged in a autologic and cleared the short and the lights worked for one day but the next day it was gone again.

I need to take it to a auto electrician and get him to fix the wiring. apparently it is the yellow and brown wire that goes into the back of the headlight that is the problem (according to my friend that had the same problem). I honestly just have not had the time to take it to a reliable electrician.

the other module that controls your lights is the FRM (footwell module) I was going to replace that but I'm gonna try to fix the wiring first and see if does anything. I'll also clear the short again and see if it still lights up, if it does I might just order a new FRM as the wiring is probably ok.
