Turbo swap around chicago
I need to take off current RB's and ship to RB for a new set. I don't want to voice the situation yet...will discuss if someone can help me out.
I can help with the uninstall/install. I just don't have the tools to do it. Is someone willing to help me out. Please PM me. In a very terrible situation. as this is my daily driver

RB's
You're not the first I heard of having to send your RB's back. Just out of curiosity what is the reason you have to send back. In the near future when I do upgraded turbo I don't want to run into the same problem as my car is also my daily driver. Thanks

Yikes. So sorry to hear that news, such a bummer. And that doesn't sound like a quick uninstall/reinstall either.

That's honestly complete bullshit. The blame and cause of these new costs are strictly the result of the problem with the defective turbos. Therefore, the manufacturer should 100% be compensating you for these costs. It's utter bullshit that the end user has to bear them, that's crap. If they were not defective, there would be no additional labor involved. I'd be absolutely furious and seeking compensation. There is no way RB wouldn't be getting served up for this if this happened to me. Fuck that.

I agree 100% but RB covers himself in the warranty section stating he is not liable to cover additional labor costs etc. on a defective turbo. I have been back and forth with him in emails ALL DAY. End result...he is repairing the turbos and I am left to take out a LOAN to have a shop REINSTALL these and rely on family/gf/friends for rides to work. Spent 4K on turbos... I even sold my perfectly working Vargas stage 1's to get the RB's and even told him that I was getting rid of a COMPETITORS turbo setup just to get his.

Fuck that disclaimer, I'd love to see it hold up. It's total bullshit. I know I'm never buying that pile of shit product then. There is no way he should be allowed to get away with selling busted products to begin with, how can anyone support this crap?!
I know for sure I won't be buying them. VTT or MM performance will get my money instead. |

I know a shop. But they are up I the NW suburbs. They charged me $1000 do Turbos. no complaints. Pm me for contact info. Side not though. If you don't have enough $$ to do the install again you didn't have enough $$ to buy them in the first place.

Why would I have to even worry about having money to do the install all over again. That makes no sense at all. Thanks for the contact info tho. |
