No phone or roaming icon showing when BT connection active?
I have a non-iDrive 2006 330i with premium package. I just switched to a BlackBerry 8830 (from Verizon), and the phone connects and works just fine to the car via bluetooth, but I noticed that neither the phone icon nor the roaming (triangle) icon show on the radio. The phone icon used to show on my old BlackBerry 8700g. Any ideas why?

Have someone call you while you are paired, but don't answer it. Now do you have your phone icon?

My icons have been all weird, and I can't find any reference on what they're supposed to show.
(Oct-06 E92 MID) I used to have what I thought was an "antenna" icon to the left of the signal strength meter. One day a few months ago the "antenna" changed to something that might have been a phone (dark handset in a light box) or a tape (dark reels + tape in a cassette) icon. I assumed this was the voice message icon, but it didn't go away after I cleared my waiting voicemail. One day I wanted to see if it'd go away, so I deleted the pairing from the car and phone and re-paired; now I have no icon at all next to the signal strength meter. I'm thinking about pulling the stereo fuse to see if the "antenna" comes back on re-set. What's *supposed* to show in this space? |

My icon changed to the phone this morning for no apparent reason. I did have a missed call yesterday, but I picked that up before I got in my car to drive home last night.................

Go to your "missed calls" screen and take a look. The icon will disappear once you visit.

I wonder why they don't mention any of these icons in the manual... |

Ah, I didn't realize there was a missed calls screen in the radio (I don't have i-Drive).
