So I'm thinking about ditching my run-flats for none other than the famous Michelin PSS. Don't like the Bridegstones and the Pirelli Run-flats don't seem all that great either. Plus, the PSS are cheaper, have incredible reviews and will last much longer. I want to go with a quality tire for sure.
Thinking about going for the space saver tore kit from bavauto or one of those guys. Looks like the space saver tire should fit in the truck when the top is down? Does anyone have pictures of that? Trying to see how much room there will be or if the roof will rub against the tire and jack, etc? I know there's a bunch of threads debating what method (roadside assistance, tire repair kit, spare tire, etc) is best so I won't go into that. For me, the space saver tire kit seems okay. I see this: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...spare+tire+kit So the top can be raised or lowered with any problem? Thanks, everyone!

In looking at the linked photo, the top should go down just fine. There is more room in the front of the trunk than in the rear because of the back window (have someone else open the top and look in the trunk when it tilts back before the top goes in. You can get a carry on suitcase in there and still put the top down, so I dont see a reason why the spare wont fit. I doubt that you'll get much else in there though. AAA membership card and a slime inflator might be a more space efficient choice.

Most of my driving is in very populated areas so cell reception isn't a concern, but I've never been late to work (knock on wood) and seem to have flat tires more frequently than others. So I'm thinking that the spare will allow me to at least get to work on time (or other destinations) and then I can have the tire repaired or fixed soon thereafter. I like to be overprotected- peace of mind, I guess. Though AAA sounds promising.... Gotta be better/quicker than BMW assist?

Depends how busy they are. I've never needed BMW roadside (knock on wood), but AAA usually sends someone within an hour (as long as its not a blizzard or something). Just make sure you request a flatbed when you call.

Did you ever get a Spare Tire and Jack Kit?
I have a new BMW wheel, 135/80-17 Continental tire, jack, chock, lug bolt wrench and foam wheel insert to hold it all for sale. $225 and it's yours. Mike 949-813-1504
